As the new director of QPAC, it was humbling and eye-opening to realize how long you have championed and organised this important and unique national event. How fantastic to see artists with credits like 8th Blackbird, SCO, ASQ, ACO, all coming together as friends for the joy of making and sharing great music. … The program was a perfect mix of surprise and favourites …I felt incredibly lucky. But knowing that your festival - yet another example of the Queensland “just do it” philosophy that never ceases to amaze me - will roll around again next year is just as fortunate. … my sincerest thanks.
We both enjoyed this immersive and magical weekend of exceptional music immensely, and fully intend to become regular attendees of the SCMF!
